What is Wireless Interface?

The term is used in the radio dispatch subject area.

It means that dispatch solution connect to a radio system via the subscriber device, despite the fact if that is a direct-mode system or repeater-based system.

Connection to subscriber device is usually the simplest one, but it lacks the ability to monitor concurrent calls and has subscriber capacity limitations.

In SmartPTT, the term is applicable to the following interfaces:

  • MOTOTRBO control stations (donor radios),
  • IO control stations (use 4WIRE interface).
