Connecting to Local Time Source
Follow the procedure to connect your Windows computer to the NTP-capable Network Time Source.
Prerequisites§
- Obtain the IP address of the Local Time Source.
- Log on to the computer as a Windows Administrator.

Access date and time settings on the computer.
How to...
Follow this exemplary instruction to open date and time settings:
- Right click the Start button.
The shortcut menu appears. - From the shortcut menu, select Run.
- In the Run dialog box,
in the Open field,
enter
timedate.cpl
The Date and Time window appears.
- Right click the Start button.

In the window that appears, select the Internet Time tab.
Time synchronization settings appear. -
On the tab, click Change Settings.
The Internet Time Settings dialog appears. -
In the. dialog that appears, select the Synchronize with an Internet time server check box.
The Server field becomes available. - In the Server field, enter the IP address of the Local Time Source.
- Click Update now.
- If the time updated successfully, in the dialog box, click OK.
- Close the Date and Time window.

Repeat the procedure on all SmartPTT and MOTOTRBO hosts.
