This is the official notice about the upcoming End-of-Life (EOL) Support for RG-1000e support milestone for the RG-1000e. The RG-1000e was a Radio over IP (RoIP) gateway designed to connect Motorola MOTOTRBO, P25, and other two-way radio control stations back to SmartPTT for dispatch and interoperability purposes.
As you may know, the RG-1000e was officially discontinued in 2022 and was replaced by the RG-2000. The End-of-Life (EOL) Support for RG-1000e takes place on December 31, 2026.
After December 31, 2026, all support services for the RG-1000e will completely cease. This includes:
- Technical Support: No further phone, email, or online troubleshooting will be available.
- Software & Firmware: No new software updates, bug fixes, or security patches will be issued.
- Hardware Support: Spare parts and repair services will no longer be available.
While your existing equipment may continue to function after this date, we cannot guarantee its security, stability, or compatibility with newer systems.
To prevent any disruption to your operations, we recommend upgrading to our latest generation model, the RG-2000. The RG-2000 supports connecting a Motorola MOTOTRBO control station, a Motorola APX or other P25 donor radio, and other digital and analog control station radios back to SmartPTT PLUS, SmartPTT Enterprise, or SmartPTT Express.
