SmartPTT Mobile: More Possibilities and Better User Experience

We are happy to announce the new version of SmartPTT Mobile, which is now available in the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store.

Volume Control for RX and TX

With the updated SmartPTT Mobile release, subscribers can now adjust the volume of RX and TX voice in the app settings of each device. This feature allows users to level the difference in volume characteristics of the microphone and speakers of various devices, as well as adjust the volume for more comfortable receive and transmit audio.

Call and Message Notifications

We enhanced notifications functionality in the new SmartPTT Mobile. The functionality allows users to be notified of incoming calls, messages, and alerts. Notification settings are configured in the OS settings with the ability to set the necessary events and parameters.

Configurable Reconnect Timeout

In the updated SmartPTT Mobile subscribers can manually adjust the timer for reconnecting to the list of servers on the device. Now the user does not need to wait 30 seconds between attempts to connect to the server, the parameter can be configured in the range from 5 to 30 seconds.

Hardware Button Assignment

We have given SmartPTT Mobile users more options to use hardware buttons. Assigning physical buttons as PTT or Emergency is now available. This will allow users of POC devices to quickly transmit and send alarms using physical buttons with the smartphone screen on.

Note that this functionality is available on Android only and works when the app is open.

Multiple Enhancements

The updated SmartPTT Mobile has improved compatibility with external audio devices. App users can use wired or wireless headsets with a built-in microphone for RX and TX.

The updated version of SmartPTT Mobile for IOS now has the ability to automatically switch servers. This functionality allows the user of the mobile application to stay connected when switching between Wi-Fi and LTE or losing connection with the server.

New POC Device Supported

In the new release, we have supported the OTTO Revo NC2 Bluetooth device. With this device, users can communicate in the system without interacting with a smartphone using the device’s hardware buttons. OTTO Revo NC2 delivers high audio performance in a convenient form factor allowing subscribers to work in harsh environments. We expanded the list of supported POC devices and added the TOKIE TK1100. Using POC devices with our mobile app significantly increases the efficiency of communication between subscribers.
