How to configure the redundant server to work properly after upgrade?

“Automated configuration of redundant server” in details

Sometimes after software update installation it may seem that redundant server does not work properly, but in fact the solution lies in the correct settings. Our “Automated configuration of redundant server” feature helps make the configuration process as easy as possible. After you have imported settings from the main server, you need to look through the settings of the redundant server, and create replacement rules only for the settings, which are different between main and redundant servers. Commonly the list of those settings is:

  • IP address of the server (Interface)
  • Peer ID of the server
  • IP address of the master repeater (it can happen if the servers are in different subnets)

So, is it work properly now? Check it! And don’t forget that you are always welcome to ask your questions at support@smartptt.com
