Elcomplus recently worked with BearCom in Houston Texas to implement a SmartPTT PLUS voice and data dispatch system for a K-12 Transportation Customer for use in their school bus transportation operations. The SmartPTT PLUS system is connecting to a Motorola MOTOTRBO Capacity Plus Multi-Site system (CPMS) with 3 dispatchers and more than 1300 field radios. The primary features being used in SmartPTT by the customer are:
- Voice dispatch for seamless communications with buses
- Emergency management to notify dispatchers about bus drivers with an emergency
- GPS for bus location
- System monitoring for radio system health management
- Redundant radioserver for increased system up-time
