Importing Accounts

Prerequisites§

  • Obtain the required JSON file with exported accounts.

Procedure§

  1. In the Configurator, go to the Accounts tab.

  2. In the top part of the tab, click All.
    List of accounts appears in the left pane.

  3. Click Import.
    The Import Wizard window appears.

  4. In the window that appears, select the JSON file:
    1. Click Browse  next to the Select file field.
      The Open window appears.
    2. In the window that appears, select the required file. Then click Open.
  5. From the Import rules list, select one of the following options:
    • If you need to overwrite all the existing accounts by imported ones, select Rewrite.
    • If you need only to add missing accounts, select Add new only.
    • If you need to add missing and modify the matched accounts, select Add and overwrite.

  6. Determine missing profile treatment policy:

    • To remove info about profiles that do not exist in the current server, select the Skip missing profiles check box.

    • To import accounts strictly if their profiles exist in the current server, clear the Skip missing profiles check box.

      If at least one missing profile is discovered, then import will fail and corresponding error will appear.

  7. Determine missing MOTOTRBO system policy:

    • To remove info about unique IDs for MOTOTRBO systems that do not exist in the current server, select the Skip unique IDs for missing systems check box.

    • To import accounts strictly if all the unique IDs meet their corresponding systems, clear the Skip unique IDs for missing systems check box.

      If at least one missing MOTOTRBO system is discovered, then import will fail and corresponding error will appear.

  8. In the dialog that confirms the import success, click OK.

  9. In the bottom of the Configurator App, click Save  to save and apply changes.
