Generating Certificates

Motives

You may follow the procedure in the following cases:

• You just installed SmartPTT for quick demo purposes.
• Existing self-signed certificate is about to expire.

Warning

SmartPTT generates self-signed certificates. Such certificates will be considered as non-trused.

Recommendation is to purchase and use custom certificates issued by trusted authorities.

Prerequisites

• Start the Configurator, and, if required, log on to it as a System Admin.

Procedure

1. In the Configurator, go to the Settings tab.

2. In the left pane of the tab, click Clients Connection.

   

3. In the right pane, in the Certificate Parameters area, click Generate.

4. In the bottom part of the Configurator, click Save  to save changes.

Postrequisites

• To apply changes and restart the server (essential), in the bottom part of the Configurator, click Restart.
