Setting Up Distance GPS Triggers

The feature is applicable to MOTOTRBO radios only. WAVE user devices do not support the trigger.

Prerequisites§

Procedure§

  1. In the Configurator, go to the Settings tab.

  2. On the tab, in its left pane, expand Radio Network Services, and then click GPS.
    Centralized GPS settings appear in the right pane.

  3. In the right pane, in the table, perform the following actions:

    1. Identify the required group.

    2. For the identified entry, in the Distance Interval column, perform the following actions:

      1. Select the check box.
      2. In the text field next to the check box, enter the related timeout IN METERS.

      Info

      Only meters are supported for distance specification. If you need to set up a distance in feet/yards/miles, recalculate them into meters using the following info:

      • \(1\ ft \approx 0.3048\ m\)
      • \(1\ yd \approx 0.9144\ m\)
      • \(1\ mi \approx 1609.34\ m\)

  4. Repeat the previous step for other entries, using different distances.

  5. In the bottom part of the Configurator, click Save  to save changes.

Postrequisites§

To apply changes and restart the server, click Restart in the bottom part of the Configurator.
