Setting Up Another Server Connection

Prerequisites§

  • Start the Configurator and, if required, log on to it as a System Admin.
  • Ensure you have Inter-Server Patching license installed.

Process§

  1. In the Configurator, select the Systems tab.
  2. On the tab, in its left pane, click the Affiliated Servers node.
    Enablement settings appear.

  3. In the right pane, select the Active check box or ensure it is selected.

  4. Perform one of the following actions:

    • To add a new server connection, in the left pane, right click the Affiliated Servers node, and then click Add.
    • To edit an existing server connection, in the left pane, expand the Affiliated Servers node, and then click the required server.

    Connectivity settings appear.

  5. Set up the server connection:

    1. Select the Active check box.
    2. In the Name field, enter the server name. Leave default if irrelevant.

      Warning

      For the following settings, consider NAT configuration if applies.

    3. In the Main Server IP Address field, enter another server IPv4 address using the dot-decimal notation.

    4. In the TCP Port field, enter the HTTP Port of another server.
    5. In the VOIP Port field, enter the VOIP Listen Port of another server.
    6. Click Check Connection to ensure the destination server is available.
  6. Set up the connection to another server backup instance:

    1. In the Redundant Server IP Address field, enter IPv4 address of the backup server instance using the dot-decimal notation.
    2. In the TCP Port field, enter the HTTP Port of the backup server instance.
    3. In the VOIP Port field, enter the Voice Port the backup server instance.
    4. Click Check Connection to ensure the destination backup server is available.
  7. In the bottom part of the Configurator, click Save to save changes.

Postrequisites§

  • To apply changes by restarting the server, in the bottom part of the Configurator, click Restart.
