Setting Up Enhanced Encryption in IPSC

Prerequisites§

  • Obtain secure key IDs and values for enhanced encryption in IPSC.
  • In SmartPTT, ensure you have the proper IPSC license.

Procedure§

  1. Access the relevant IPSC encryption settings.

    • In SmartPTT Enterprise, In the Configurator, on the Systems tab, expand IP Site Connect Systems → <required IPSC name> → <required IPSC slot>, and then click Security Settings.
    • In SmartPTT PLUS, In the Configurator, on the Systems tab, expand NAI Systems → <required IPSC name> → <required IPSC slot>, and then click Security Settings.

    List of secure keys appears in the right pane.

  2. In the Enhanced Privacy area, perform the following actions:

    1. Click Add.
    2. In the new row of the table, in the Key ID column, double click the current ID, and then enter the proper key ID.
    3. In the same row, in the Key Value column, double click the field, and then type the required key.
    4. Ensure the key value is valid, and then proceed to next steps.

      Warning

      Once you change the focus from the Key Value parameter, the value of the key hides and will be unavailable for review.

  3. Repeat the previous step for other secure keys.

  4. Set up the transmit secure key:
    1. In the TX Privacy area, from the Type list, select Enhanced.
    2. From the Key ID list, select the required key ID.
  5. In the bottom part of the Configurator, click Save  to save changes.
  6. To apply changes, click Restart in the bottom part of the Configurator.

Postrequisites§

Repeat the procedure for all other slots of your IPSC system.
