Connecting to LCP Main Repeater
Prerequisites§
- Access SmartPTT Configuration App.
- From repeater codeplugs,
obtain the following data:
- Main repeater IP address and UDP port number. In case of NAT usage, obtain router IP address and port related to main repeater.
- Repeater private authentication key.
- From radio codeplugs, obtain the following data:
- Duration of the group and private call hangtime.
- Duration of the voice transmission delay (preamble duration).
- Determine the maximum number of concurrent phone calls between phone users and radio subscribers.
Turn on SmartPTT monitoring.
Process§

In the Configurator, on the Systems tab, perform one of the following actions:
- To add a new LCP, right click NAI Systems, and then select Add → NAI - Linked Capacity Plus.
- To modify an existing LCP connection, expand NAI Systems, and then click the required one.
LCP settings appear in the right pane.

In the right pane, select the Active check box to enable the connectivity settings.
In the Name field, enter the system connection name. - Leave the Network ID field unchanged. If you need to change it, consult with SmartPTT support engineers.

Set up the repeater connection:
- In the Peer ID field, enter the peer ID allocated for SmartPTT server.

From the Interface list, select one of computer network interface card (NIC) interface. If SmartPTT is a sole application installed on the computer, select Any.
Warning
Do not confuse computer NIC with co-located MNIS tunnel address or other NIC-capable services.

In the Port field, enter the port port that will be used to connect to the LCP main repeater.

In the Main Repeater (IP address:Port) field, type the IP address and UDP port of the main repeater and/or its NAT equivalent address.

In the Authentication key field, enter the main repeater authentication key.
Click Test to test the main repeater accessibility.

In the bottom part of the Configurator, click Save to save changes.
- To apply changes, click Restart in the bottom part of the Configurator.
