SMARTPTT ENTERPRISE ONLY§

The procedure is applicable only to SmartPTT Enterprise.

Prerequisites§

  • Determine the server/client mode of the RG-2000 operation. In case of the server mode, obtain its IP address and TCP port.
  • From the donor radio configuration, obtain the Radio ID.
  • Ensure that all channels of the radio has equal transmit criteria.

Process§

  1. In the Configurator, on the Systems tab, expand NAI Systems → <name of the LCP system>.
  2. Add a new donor radio connection:

    1. Right click TX Interfaces, and then select RG-2000.
    2. Right click the created RG node, and then click Add.

New TX radio settings appear in the right pane.

  3. In the right pane, select the Active check box to unlock control station settings.

  4. In the Name field, enter the name of the donor radio.
  5. Select the connection mode to the donor radio that depends on RG-2000 settings.

If RG is configured to operate as a server, from the Connection Mode list, select Client.

If RG is configured to operate as a client, perform the following actions:

    1. From the Connection Mode list, select Server.
    2. In the Control Station IP Address field, enter the IP address of the RG.
    3. In the TCP Control Port field, enter the TCP port number of RG allocated for the donor radio.
    4. Click Test to ensure that TX radio is available.
  6. Set up SmartPTT local interface allocated for the donor radio:

    1. From the Local Interface field, select one of the following options:
      • If you have multiple physical/virtual adapters on the computer (including MNIS-related, donor radio etc.), select the proper computer IP address.
      • If you have a single physical/virtual adapter configured on the computer, select Any.
    2. In the Local Ports area, set up the proper port assignment:
      • If you want the ports to be allocated automatically, click Auto.
      • If you want to allocate a specific UPD port for the audio, click Set manually.
    3. In case of manual port assignment, in the Control TCP Port field, enter the computer TCP port responsible for the signaling traffic exchange between SmartPTT server and RG.
    4. In case of manual port assignment, in the Audio UDP Port field, enter the computer UDP port responsible for the voice traffic exchange between SmartPTT server and RG.
  7. To enable secure connection between SmartPTT and RG-2000, select the Encrypted connection check box.

  8. In the Site ID field, enter the RF Site ID of the LCP system where the donor radio is installed.
  9. In the Radio ID field, enter the Radio ID of the donor radio.
