Setting Up Channel Relationships Table

SMARTPTT ENTERPRISE ONLY§

The procedure is applicable only to SmartPTT Enterprise.

Prerequisites§

  • Set up conventional channels in donor radio that match channels of repeaters installed on the same site.
  • Obtain the zone and position IDs of the LCP personality configured in the donor radio for the LCP system.
  • Obtain the zone and position IDs of digital channels configured in the donor radio and match by frequency and other criteria with LCP channels on the RF site.
  • Connect to Donor Radio.

Process§

  1. In the Configurator, on the Systems tab, expand NAI Systems → <name of the LCP system> → TX Interfaces → <name of the RG> → <name of the donor radio>, and then click Channels.
    Relationships table appears.

  2. In the right pane, configure the default donor radio channel (LCP personality):

    1. In the Capacity Plus Personality (Linked) area, in the Zone field, enter the zone ID of the corresponding personality.
    2. In the Position field, enter the position/channel ID of the corresponding personality.
  3. Set up parameters of digital channels where SmartPTT shall switch the donor radio to reply to incoming voice calls:
    1. Click Add.
      New entry appears in the table below the button.
    2. In the added entry, in the Name column, enter the channel name.
    3. In the Zone column enter the zone ID of the digital channel.
    4. In the Position column enter the position ID of the same digital channel.
    5. In the Peer ID column, enter the repeater ID where the digital channel settings are the same as in the digital channel of the donor radio.
    6. In the Slot column, enter the time slot of the repeater that correlated with the digital channel settings in the donor radio.
  4. Repeat the previous step for other RF channels configured on the RF site where the donor radio is installed.
  5. In the bottom part of the Configurator, click Save  to save changes.
  6. To apply changes, click Restart in the bottom part of the Configurator.
