Setting Up Multimedia File Policies

SmartPTT does NOT read the files to apply the policy It relies solely on the extension (end part of the file name).
The implementation excludes malicious code execution due to SmartPTT.
Prerequisites§
Process§
- In the Configurator, go to the Settings tab.

In the left pane, expand Addon Modules, and then click Multimedia.
The settings appear in the right pane.

In the File Extensions area, perform one of the following options:
- To set up exceptional file extensions (and prohibit all others), click Allowed.
- To set up prohibited file extensions, click Prohibited.
- To disable policies, clear the text box next to the Allowed and Prohibited options.

In the text box to the Allowed and Prohibited options, enter file extensions that must be allowed/prohibited.
Warning
- SmartPTT does not support wildcards in file name extensions.
- SmartPTT does not support file name inputs in this area.

In the bottom part of the Configurator, click Save to save changes.
Postrequisites§
To apply changes, click Restart in the bottom part of the Configurator.
