Logging on to the Dispatcher App

This procedure explains how to log on to SmartPTT starting 9.14.100. For older versions, see the dedicated article

Prerequisites§

  • In case of centralized authorization obtain the SmartPTT server IPv4 address and its WCF port.
  • Learn the SmartPTT server domain name by its IP.

    Example

    Use the nslookup command below. Replace 8.8.8.8 with your server IP.

  • If SmartPTT server is behind the NAT router, obtain the router IPv4/hostname and its TCP port that is forwarded to the server WCF port.

  • Start the Dispatcher App.

Procedure§

  1. Start the Dispatcher App.
    The Login window appears.

  2. Set up the main server connection:

    1. In the Logon window, click Server.
      The Server Connection window appears.

    2. In the window that appears, in the Address field, enter the server IPv4 or domain name.

    3. In the WCF Port field, enter the server WCF port number.
    4. To check the address validity, click Test. Ensure the Success Icon  appears next to the button.
    5. Click Save.
  3. In the Login window, in the Login field, perform one of the following actions:

    • To log on with a new user, enter their login/name.
    • To log on with an existing user, select it from the list. Use text search if required.
  4. In the Password field, enter the password.
  5. To view the password, in the Password field, click View Password .
  6. Click Log in.
