Installing SmartPTT with Domain Authorization

Prerequisites§

Process§

  1. Start the installation file.
    Welcome window appears.

  2. In the window that appears, select the language:

    1. Next to the Setup language label, click the current language name.
    2. From the dialog box, select the required language.
    3. Click Apply to apply changes and close the dialog.
  3. In the main window, click Next.

  4. If .NET Framework is required to be installed, perform the following actions:

    1. Agree to install the framework.
    2. After the installation, restart the computer.
    3. After the restart and logon, relaunch the installation file and click Next until the License Agreement window appears.

  5. In the window that appears, select I accept the terms in the License Agreement, and then click Next. The Custom Setup window appears.

  6. In the window that appears, for each of the installable component, perform the following actions:

    1. Select the component name.

      Note

      If the component is already installed, it will always be selected but will not be updated.

    2. Keep default installation paths unchanged.

    3. When completed, click Next.
      The Authentication Setup window appears.

  7. In the window that appears, select Domain:

    1. In the Domain field, enter the domain name.
    2. Click Test to test the domain availability from the computer.
    3. From the System Administrators list, select user group of system admins.
    4. From the Database Administrators list, select user group of database admins.
    5. From the Console Administrators list, select user group of console admins.

    6. From the Console Operators list, select user group of console operators.

      Note

      If needed, you can assign the same user group to multiple roles.

    7. Click Next to proceed with the installation.
      The Ready to Install window appears.

  8. In the window that appears, review the summary information. If correct, click Install.
    Installation progress window appears. When completed, the Setup Completed window appears.

  9. In the window that appears, select one of the following options:

    • To restart the computer right now, click Restart now (recommended).
    • To restart the computer later, click Restart later.
  10. Click Finish to complete the installation.

Postrequisites:§

It is recommended to restart the computer after installation, before you start setting SmartPTT. Otherwise, you will have operation errors.
