/ Setting Up Server Account

Motives

Perform the process if you have the following configuration

• You installed SmartPTT with AD authorization.
• You plan to connect SmartPTT to remote SQL server.

With that, you start SmartPTT on behalf of the user who has read-write permissions on that SQL server.

Prerequisites

• Install SmartPTT server.

Process

1. Open Services.

   How to...

   1. Right click the Start button.
      The shortcut menu appears.
   2. From the shortcut menu, select Run.
   3. In the Run dialog box, in the Open field, enter services.msc
      The Services window appears.

2. In the window that appears, right click the Radioserver entry, and from the action menu, select Properties.
   The Properties window appears.

   

3. In the window that appears, select the Log On tab.

4. On the tab, perform the following actions:
   1. Click This account.
   2. Click Browse, and then select the proper user.
   3. In the Password field, enter the user password.
   4. In the Confirm password field, enter the user password again.
   5. Click Apply to apply changes.
