Verifying Issuers

Prerequisites

• Unarchive the downloaded SmartPTT 26.01 or newer.

Procedure

1. Open the directory where you unarchive the SmartPTT.

2. Right click the installation package file (EXE), and from the action menu, select Properties.

   

3. In the window that appears, go to the Digital Signatures tab.

4. On the tab, in the Name of the signer column, ensure you see the file issuer as follows:

   Elcomplus Inc.
   

5. Learn the signature certificate issuer:

   1. Click Details.

      

   2. In the window that appears, go to the General tab.

   3. On the tab, in the Countersignatures area, in the Name of the signer column, ensure the certificate issuer name begins with the following:

      DigiCert
      

6. When completed, close all the windows you opened during the procedure.
