Upgrading SmartPTT in UI Mode

Danger

During the upgrade, SmartPTT becomes unavailable.

Please plan you upgrade when no critical operations are executed. For support, submit a request to Support Center.

Prerequisites§

  • Log on to the operating system with local admin privileges.
  • Close all the SmartPTT applications on the computer.

  • In case of server host upgrade, stop the SmartPTT Server service.

    net stop "Radioserver"

    Stop-Service -Name "Radioserver"

  • Unarchive installation package of SmartPTT into a local/network directory.

Procedure§

  1. Start the installation executable.

  2. In the welcoming screen, click Next.

  3. In the window that appears, read the End User License Agreement (EULA).

  4. Once the agreement is read and acceptable, select the I accept the terms in the License Agreement. Then click Next.

  5. In the window that appears, review the authorization settings. If valid, click Next.

  6. In the window that appears, click Upgrade.

  7. Wait until the upgrade completes.
  8. Once completed, click Finish to complete the upgrade.

Postrequisites§

Restart the computer before you start using SmartPTT. Without restart, you may have operation errors.
