Setting Up OS Native Audio Drivers

Prerequisites

• Log on to the future Dispatcher App host/computer with local admin privileges.

Procedure

1. Open Device Manager.

   How to...

   1. Right click the Start button.

   2. From the action menu, select Device Manager.
      The Device Manager window appears.

      

2. In the Device Manager, in the Toolbar, click View, and select Devices by type.
   List of devices is regrouped by type.

3. In the list of devices, expand <Computer Name> → Sound, video and game controllers.

   Warning

   Do not confuse this menu item with audio inputs and outputs.

4. For every audio output device under that menu, perform the following actions:

   1. Right click the device, and from the action menu, select Update Driver.
      The Update Drivers window appears.

   2. In the window that appears, click Browse my computer for drivers.
      Driver browse controls appear in the window.

   3. In the renewed window, click Let me pick from a list....
      Driver selection controls appear in the window.

      Select Drivers

      

   4. In the renewed window, in the Model area, among any number of drivers, click High Definition Audio Device.

   5. Click Next.
   6. If a warning appears, click Yes.
   7. After the driver is successfully updated, in the update window, click Close.

5. Repeat the step for all other audio output and input devices.

6. Once completed, close the Device Manager.
