Hybrid Voice Interface

SMARTPTT ENTERPRISE ONLY§

This article is intended only for SmartPTT Enterprise.

TX Radios for Group Calls§

Due to the interface limitations, you must install at least one TX radio on every RF site. This is because you can reply only on the same site where the call originator is registered.

If you expect more that one voice call between dispatchers and radio subscribers on the site, you should install additional TX radios. Their total number per site should be equal to the number of concurrent calls with dispatchers on every site.

Maximally, you should have up to 12 TX radios per site. This number is the maximum number of voice channels per LCP site.

TX Radios for Individual Calls§

Due to interface limitations, you should set up all TX radios to the same ID that matches SmartPTT server ID in LCP.

TX Radio Channels§

Proper TX radio configuration must be as follows:

  • Every TX radio must have LCP personality configured properly for the whole LCP and/or at least for RF site where TX radio is deployed.

  • Every TX radio must have digital channels which settings match those configured in repeaters of the current RF site. This include RX/TX frequencies, security keys, interruptions etc.

  • Every TX radio must have equal transmit interrupt settings on the digital channels mentioned above.
