Local-Only Accounts§

Ensure all user accounts will be local. No mix of local and AD user accounts are supported.

Local-Only User Groups§

Ensure all user groups will be local. No mix of local and AD user groups is supported.

Zero-Level Nesting§

Ensure all users are direct members of required user groups. No user group nesting is supported.

User Group for Every Role§

You should determine user groups for every SmartPTT role. For roles information, see Role-Based Access.

Users and Group Creation§

To create users and groups using GUI-based tools, follow the instructions below:

To create AD users and groups using PowerShell, refer to PowerShell Shortcuts for AD.

Firewall§

Unlock the following network ports on every SmartPTT server host:

  • TCP port 389.

If Dispatcher App is allowed to access AD independently (not recommended), then unlock the following network port on every Dispatcher App host:

  • TCP port 389.
