Changing PostgreSQL Listen Addresses

The process explains how to modify IP addresses on which PostgreSQL will be available for SmartPTT Express server.

Prerequisites

• Determine the PostgreSQL address on which it should be available.
• Log on to the pgAdmin.

Process

1. In the pgAdmin, connect to the database server:

   1. In the Object Explorer, expand Servers. Then click the required server.

      

   2. If password request appears, in the text field of that dialog, enter the password for the user which name appears in the title.

   3. Select Save Password to avoid the dialog in the future.
   4. Click OK.

2. Access database settings:

   1. In the Object Explorer menu, expand Servers.

      

   2. Right click <your PostgreSQL>, then click Properties.

3. Change the DBMS port:

   1. In the window that appears, go to the Connection tab.

      

   2. On the tab, in the Address field, enter the required address.

4. In the window, click  Save.

Postrequisites

• To apply changes, restart the PostgreSQL 
• Ensure changes are applied
