What's New in 26.01 (9.16)
New Versioning §
SmartPTT introduces a new versioning convention. Now, instead of 9.X, customers will see year-related versions, like 26.01, 26.02, 27.01 etc. Previous versions (9.X) will appear next to the new ones, in brackets, to ease the transition for our customers.
Digital Signature §
SmartPTT introduces digital signature using the official DigiCert certificate. The signature is a powerful method to verify the integrity of the product and suspend false-positive antivirus alarms. As of now, only executables (EXE files) are signed, and this includes our EXE installation package.
Capacity Max§
Satellite Backhaul §
SmartPTT supports Capacity Max systems operated over the Low-Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites. The satellites create an IP network in harsh environments, with greater latencies as a price. As of now, SmartPTT supports Capacity Max where those latencies reach ~750 msec.
MOTOTRBO§
M2026.01 §
SmartPTT supports the newest MOTOTRBO system release for IP Site Connect, Capacity Plus, and Capacity Max. This includes MOTOTRBO wireless interfaces as well.
App ID in MNIS §
SmartPTT introduces server ID and dispatcher ID registration in MNIS. This generally enhances interaction with MOTOTRBO systems over the NAI interface and increases text messaging confidentiality.
Connect Plus R2.10.5§
SmartPTT keeps supporting Connect Plus systems upgraded to MOTOTRBO release R2.10.5.
SIP Telephony§
Phone Audio Router §
SmartPTT introduces dedicated UI control that routes audio of incoming phone calls to dedicated speakers. If the feature is turned off, the audio goes to Unselect Speaker.
Logoff Action §
SmartPTT introduces logoff (also might be referred to as “logout”) as a dedicated system event. Having this provides the ability to recognize purposeful user actions as well as start troubleshooting earlier than before.
Uptime Updates §
SmartPTT introduces technical enhancements that provide the ability to make user sessions as long as required by customers. Previously, the duration of fully functional sessions was limited to 24 hours.
The changes imply introducing access and refresh tokens, making them compliant with RFC 7519, and introducing a new message flow for them.
Audio Performance Boost §
SmartPTT introduces a new operation mode of the Dispatcher App in which audio performance (change of speakers, mic activation) is boosted if compared with others.
