New Versioning§
- Versioning that speaks your language
What Did We Do for You?§
- Starting this release, SmartPTT transits to a year-related versioning.
-
Starting this release, all new releases will be as follows:
- First two digits are the short form of the development year.
- Next two digits appear after a dot.
- The digits are the dot is a number of the release in the year with leading zero.
Example
Current release is 26.01 which is interpreted as follows:
- Number “26” stands for the release year, 2026.
- Number “01” stands for the “first release of the year”.
-
Old-style version appears next to the new version, in brackets.
Example
As per the old convention, current release should be 9.16. We kept 9.16 in brackets to assist you with the transition to a new versioning.
-
SmartPTT components switch to their own versions that won't be linked to public, new versioning.
- New versions are added to screens in every UI-capable components.
Where Do You Need It?§
- System admins identify easily if the SmartPTT version is current or it is released significant time ago.
- Compliance teams easily match the software updates during their compliance reviews.
- Ourselves and partners explain releases easier to customers and avoid ambiguous version references.
