Indoor Tracking§

Indoor Tracking tool has been added to the Dispatch console. This feature allows importing 2D and 3D floor plans in DWG format and displays the location of the subscribers on the plan according to data from the beacons.

Mobile App (iPhone)§

The mobile application allows expansion of subscriber fleet controlled by SmartPTT dispatch console on iPhone. Release 8.3 supports the following iPhone features:

  • Subscriber registration
  • GPS tracking of the subscriber
  • Text messages

Select 5 Support§

Version 8.3 supports a number of dispatch features to control Select 5 analog radios:

  • Private and group calls
  • Radio check
  • Radio blocking

The fleet of Select 5 radios is controlled by MOTOTRBO control stations connected to radioservers.

Support of Monitoring and Network Switching for NAI§

NAI network configuration supports monitoring and calls switching features.

Start and Stop of Voice Notifications by the Radioserver Rules§

The features of voice notifications are extended. In addition to notification start from the dispatch console, new actions in radioserver rules are available to start or stop voice notification for any event in the system, specifically upon a text command sent from a radio.

Monitoring Settings Interface Improvement (Network Configuration)§

Network configuration page interface in SmartPTT radioserver configurator application is updated. Parameters for alarms and notification receivers are set simultaneously for all repeaters and other network devices allowing for significant speedup of the setup process.

Database Automatic Backup from Dispatch Console§

In addition to manual database backup of dispatch application, there is an option of automatic backup. Flexible configuration allows different requirements to the dates and periods of database backup.

New Permissions for Dispatch Console Operator§

The settings for the operator permissions are expanded with restriction of access to the track display and animation, coverage and route maps.

Support of the New Firmware of Radio Activity§

The network control interface based on Radio Activity is enhanced with new features introduced in the latest version of firmware for the base radios.

Settings for the Measurement Units, Date and Time Formats§

SmartPTT dispatch console supports the selection between metric and U.S. system of distance units of measurement, as well as various formats for display, date and time depending on the interface language.

Group Emergency Notification§

Indication of the emergency alarm from the radio is changed – the groups, rather than slots are highlighted in red. The change only affects systems based on the direct connection to repeaters, and not the systems running on the base stations.

Advanced Call State Indication on the Subscribers Panel (Call Initiation, Hang Time etc.)§

The Subscribers Panel displays not only the main call state: green – incoming call, yellow – outgoing call, but the intermediate state as well: blue – hang time, light yellow – call initiation.

Improvements in User Interface for SmartPTT Web Application§

User interface for SmartPTT web application is improved, a number of bugs in the features to control network subscribers are fixed.

Changes in Licensing Policy§

The number of SmartPTT web console connections is now limited by the value defined in the license key.

Dispatcher Late Entry§

Version 8.3 supports “Late Entry” for the dispatch console supporting voice calls or emergency alarms initiated before the launch of the console and still running on.

Advanced audio output settings§

It is now possible to select output audio channels for any slot, group, subscriber or dispatcher. The feature is implemented in a new tab “Audio Output Devices” in the sound settings configurator in the Dispatch console.

Import /Export settings of dispatcher§

Ability to save and restore dispatcher settings has been added.

Lone Worker mode in event rules and GPS rules§

Now it is possible to include Lone Worker mode setting in “Rules and Alerts” and “GPS rules”.

Event log and monitoring database backup§

Now it is possible to set up automatic backups for event log and monitoring databases.

New elements in Custom Consoles§

New elements are now available in Custom Consoles: “Call Log”, “Notification Panel”, and “Broadcast Call”.

Checking connection with the repeater§

Ability to test connection between repeater and working radioserver has been added.

Changes in report export§

MS Excel is no longer required for creation and display of the reports like “Radio Activity Report”, “Online Subscribers” and others.

Display subscribers belonging to one category on the map§

Ability to display or hide subscribers from one category on the map in one click. Upon display operation, subscriber radios belonging to the category are automatically requested for actual location.
