MOTOTRBO§
R2.7§
SmartPTT supports the newest MOTOTRBO release. This includes IP Site Connect, Capacity Plus, Connect Plus, Capacity Max, and wireless interfaces supported by SmartPTT.
Capacity Max 250 Sites§
SmartPTT supports increased range of Site IDs in Capacity Max. Now they range from 1 to 255.
Multiple Presence Servers§
SmartPTT supports up to 4 backup Presence Servers in Capacity Max. This increases uptime of SmartPTT-based solutions.
Multiple VRC Gateways§
SMARTPTT PLUS ONLY
Functionality below is available only in SmartPTT PLUS.
SmartPTT supports up to 15 VRC gateways per Capacity Max. This increases SmartPTT capacity features as well as provides greater flexibility for customers.
Backup VRC Gateways§
SMARTPTT PLUS ONLY
Functionality below is available only in SmartPTT PLUS.
SmartPTT supports one backup VRC gateway per every active VRC gateway in Capacity Max. This increases uptime of SmartPTT-based solutions.
Backup MNIS Data Gateways§
SmartPTT supports one backup MNIS Data Gateway per Capacity Max. This increases uptime of SmartPTT-based solutions.
Extended Range Direct Mode§
SmartPTT supports Extended Range Direct Mode, a single-repeater frequency-effective MOTOTRBO system. In such systems, first and second time slots are forced to serve as equivalents of RX and TX frequencies, respectively. This opens an opportunity for SmartPTT users to deploy it if cost-saving solutions where one radio channel is enough.
Radio Kill§
SMARTPTT PLUS ONLY
Functionality below is available only in SmartPTT PLUS.
SmartPTT supports the Radio Kill feature in Capacity Max. This is a Tier III DMR feature that disables irreversibly. To “unkill” such radios, you should send it to Motorola Service Center.
Supporting Radio Kill increases communication security provided by SmartPTT.
Radio Stun and Revive§
SMARTPTT PLUS ONLY
Functionality below is available only in SmartPTT PLUS.
SmartPTT supports Radio Stun and Radio Revive, a Capacity Max equivalent of Radio Disable and Radio Enable features. Supporting them increases communication security provided by SmartPTT.
End of Support for Capacity Max R2.6§
SmartPTT is now incompatible with Capacity Max R2.6. Please upgrade your Capacity Max infrastructure to R2.7.
Capacity Max Wireless Access§
SmartPTT supports MOTOTRBO control stations configured to operate in Capacity Max systems. This opens an opportunity for SmartPTT Enterprise to perform two-way voice and radio commands in Capacity Max.
Backup Server§
SmartPTT introduces server backup/redundancy which is essential for continuous communications and logging. SmartPTT provides “hot standby” for IP Site Connect and Capacity Plus. I also provides “warm standby” for Connect Plus and Capacity Max. It also provides the ability to redefine some backup server settings (like IP addresses and ports, identifiers, etc.)
Voice Recording Formats§
SmartPTT introduces the ability to choose audio format to store voice record files. Customers may choose between plan WAV, space-effective MP3, and open OGG file formats. This increases SmartPTT voice logging capabilities and customer satisfaction with their quality and size.
Start-Stop Reports§
SmartPTT introduces “start-stop reports” (called Radio Subscriber Movement Reports in UI). The reports provide valuable information to optimize customer logistics and calculate savings based on accurate data.
Indoor Beacon Aliases§
SmartPTT introduces the ability to view beacon name instead of beacon ID in subscriber Call Windows. This enhances user location identification with SmartPTT, especially if beacons have location-specific names.
Control Station Audio§
SmartPTT introduces a configurable filters for incoming voice calls received over control stations. This opens an opportunity for SmartPTT to increase audio quality on that interface.
Miscellaneous§
- In the Configurator, all the settings related to MOTOTRBO systems are moved to the dedicated tab called Networks.
- SmartPTT supports configurations when remote control stations share IP address in the RG-1000 configuration, but have different port numbers.
- For remote control stations, SmartPTT provides the ability to set up MOTOTRBO port values responsible for different data types (ARS, GPS, etc.)
- SmartPTT introduces warnings and errors if database size is about to be exhausted or already exhausted.
- Subscriber speed that is considered valid is now 250 m/sec (560 mph).
- Dispatcher App now supports a mode when it requires user confirmation before closed.
- SmartPTT full version number is added to system logs.
- Supported number of records in Event Log is increased to 200,000.
- In the Configurator, users may filter events in the Activity tab by Radio ID.
- Connect Plus talkgroups can be copied for new interface.
- Added the ability to set up Network ID for control stations.
- Dispatcher App now supports action menu in Google Maps.
- Third-party applications now can be activated apart from Web Consoles.
- WebSocket settings moved to the Client Connections node of the Configurator.
- In Connect Plus, technical enhancements related to TMS service are implemented.
- Web Console UI is updated for mobile device web browsers.
- Server API is introduced for a limited audience.
