Server Authentication§

SmartPTT introduces a configuration where Dispatcher App users must authenticate and authorize on SmartPTT server. Previously, they should only authorize in Dispatcher App itself.

Starting this release, authorization is now the only way to apply profile permissions/restrictions to SmartPTT users.

Cross Patch Upgrades§

  • SmartPTT introduces Cross Patch sharing between all Dispatcher App and Web Console users.
  • SmartPTT preserves Cross Patch active status if its creator is logged off or disconnected.
  • SmartPTT limits patching capabilities to resources (talkgroups and All Calls) to main/backup server only.

Web Console Upgrades§

  • SmartPTT eliminates the need for use Audio Proxy. Now you can receive and send the voice directly from your browser.
  • SmartPTT introduces an ability to transmit from Web Console using “momentary” (press to talk) and latched (click and talk) modes.
  • SmartPTT introduces emergency alarms and calls into Web Console.
  • SmartPTT introduces Custom Consoles into Web Console. You can add groups, subscribers, and Cross Patches there.
  • SmartPTT supports profile assignment to Web Console users.

Automatic Gain Control§

SmartPTT introduces the AGC functionality for audio heard in Dispatcher App.

Avigilon Support§

SmartPTT supports integration with the Avigilon Video Management System. With the integration, dispatchers are able to view live video feed from on-site cameras and have greater situational awareness.

Miscellaneous§

Overall changes:

  • Unique dispatcher ID assignment is moved from profiles to client accounts.
  • Profiles now provide extended range of limitations of dispatcher capabilities (for example, cross patches management or access to monitoring features).
  • Profiles now can be duplicated for quicker dispatcher capabilities configuration.
  • SmartPTT radioserver now can operate as a server for RG-1000e.
  • Remote and local control stations are split into different nodes. Remote control stations are now grouped by radio gateways. This affects their configuration and radio network topology diagram.
  • Voice cal permission is moved from the client accounts to profile settings.
  • Miscellaneous user interface changes in SmartPTT applications.

Dispatcher App:

  • The ability to use a customer's OpenStreetMap server as address provider is added.
  • The centralized map configuration is added (the Map Settings window).
  • OpenStreetMap map engine is now changed to Leaflet.
  • Volume and mute management capabilities are increased.
  • Information about radioserver database and audio record folder size is now displayed in the Radioserver Information window on the Topology panel
