Setting Up Group Calls

Since group calls are primary way to communicate with radio subscribers, you need to configure them in the system.

Prerequisite

Determine Group IDs for the configuration.

Procedure

1. In Confugurator, in the Systems tab, expand Capacity Max Systems → <System Name>, and click Talkgroups.

   List of groups appears.

2. On the right pane, perform one of the following actions:

   • To add a new group, click Add.
   • To edit an existing group, proceed to the next step.

3. Set up the required entry:

   1. In the Name column, double-click the default name, and then type the required name.
   2. In the ID column, enter the required Group ID.
   3.  Only PLUS: In the VRC Gateway column, from the list, select the required gateway.

4. In the bottom part of the Configurator, click Save to save changes.

Postrequisites

• To apply changes, In the bottom part of the Configurator, click Restart to restart the server and apply changes.
• To restrict group access to operators and mobile subsribers, update their profiles.
