Mapping WAVE IDs to Radio IDs

WAVE users have their own set of IDs in WAVE infrastructure. However, those IDs need to be mapped to Radio IDs, for voice communication.

Follow the procedure to map the IDs. Alternatively, you can import them from the pre-filled CSV file.

Prerequisites

• Collect WAVE User IDs and (recommended) WAVE Device IDs. For assistance, contact Motorola representatives responsible for the WAVE deployment for your organization.
• Determine Radio IDs for each WAVE user and their aliases in SmartPTT.

Procedure

1. In the Configurator, on the Settings tab, expand the Radio Network Services node. Then click Subscriber IDs.
   Table with IDs and aliases appear.
   
2. To add a new entry, click Add.

3. For one of required entries, set up IDs:

   1. In the Broadband User ID column, enter the WAVE user ID.
   2. If available, in the Broadband Device ID column, enter the WAVE user device ID.
   3. In the MOTOTRBO ID column, enter the Radio ID allocated for the WAVE user ID.
   4. In the Alias column, enter a WAVE user alias that will appear on Dispatch Console screen.

4. Repeat step 3 for other entries in the table.

5. In the bottom part of the Configurator, click Save  to save changes.
6. To apply changes, click Restart in the bottom part of the Configurator.
