Setting Up UGW Connection

SmartPTT receives presence and location updates directly from the UGW.

Prerequisites§

  • Ensure your license file contains the “Broadband Data Gateway Connectivity” license.
  • Receive FQDN of the UGW service and its port.
  • Receive Client ID and Secret to authorize in UGW.

Procedure§

  1. In the Configurator, on the Systems tab, with the UGW node, perform one of the following actions:

    • To add a connection, right click the UGW node. Then click Add.
    • To edit an existing connection, expand the UGW node. Then click the required node.

    UGW connection settings appear.

  2. In the Name field, enter the UGW connection name. It is used solely in configuration.

  3. Configure UGW connection:

    1. In the URL Address field, enter the UGW fully qualified domain name.
    2. In the TCP Port field, enter the port address on the UGW opened for SmartPTT connection. If SmartPTT is deployed behind the NAT-capable router, enter the router port number that will be translated to the UGW port.
    3. To test the connection, click Test.
  4. In the Client ID field, enter the Client ID allocated for your organization in WAVE OnCloud.

  5. In the Client Secret field, enter the secret used to authenticate and authorize in WAVE OnCloud.
  6. In the bottom part of the Configurator, click Save  to save changes.
  7. To apply changes, click Restart in the bottom part of the Configurator.
